PowSyBl (Power System Blocks) is an open source library dedicated to electrical grid modeling and simulation. LF Energy has released powsybl-dependencies 2023.2.1, which concludes the last PowSyBl release train. The most noteworthy new features are:

  • Support of ZIP and exponential load modeling
  • Load and line asymmetrical extensions
  • Refactoring of tie lines to preserve the underlying dangling lines (IIDM version 1.10)
  • New mechanism in CGMES import : pre-processors
  • Many CGMES export fixes, aligning to ENTSOE quality requirements
  • Support of battery for CGMES export
  • Basic implementation of asymmetric AC load flow
  • Integration of dynawo: support of 60+ dynamic models
