The LF Energy PowSyBl community has released powsybl-dependencies 2024.2.0, which concludes the last PowSyBl release train. PowSyBl is an open source library dedicated to electrical grid modeling and simulation.

The most noteworthy new features are:

Modeling of generic areas in IIDM.

Added a dynamic security analysis API and its first implementation.

Added the possibility to get a network modification corresponding to an Action.

Added a new DynamicModelSupplier for a models mapping JSON input.

Improvements & simplifications of CRAC & RAO APIs.

Improvement of CSA-profiles support.

Improvements in the RAO algorithm.
The community also made a big step forward towards better functional documentation. PowSyBl documentation is now unified and versioned, and can be found at https://powsybl.readthedocs.io.
Finally, the PowSyBl community would like to highlight a new visualization tool for pypowsybl users: the network explorer, which is part of the interactive widgets of pypowsybl-jupyter. You can find a “getting started” notebook here.
