SC Decarbonisation Hub (SCDH) provides visibility and ability to manage supplier's Scope 3 emissions.
Oil and Gas companies face extreme pressure to address GHG emissions. Proactively addressing scope 3 emissions for suppliers and other cases could help improve scope 3 accountability. Such data and insights can help an organization to come up with a mitigation plan.
SC Decarbonisation Hub (SCDH) will help create visibility, measurability and to allow for conversations – but the larger programme includes aspects to ensure that visibility, measurability is translated into decisions and actions that can deliver the change an organisation is focused on. This includes training of frontline staff, project staff and category managers (carbon management competences).
The digital platform here will act as an enabler (for the programme), but all the actionable insights will be addressed outside the Digital Platform development but are essential for the digital platform value to be realised. It will be helpful for organisations that want to achieve their net zero carbon goals.
SCDH can be divided into 3 parts:
- It leverages the Agile platform.
- It will allow suppliers to submit their carbon emissions.
- It will generate actionable insights to reduce carbon emissions.
SCDH was contributed to LF Energy in 2024 by Shell.
