LF Energy Summit Europe comes to Aachen, Germany September 10-11, while an all new North American version of the event will take place Oct 3 in Montreal.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the European event.
The world is facing immense challenges to achieve decarbonization targets and prevent the worst impacts of climate change. The only way to meet these targets is to work collaboratively to develop digital technologies and standards to optimize physical infrastructure, orchestrate supply and demand, and rapidly onboard clean energy resources. LF Energy accelerates the energy transition by building communities to develop open technologies and standards. LF Energy Summit gathers the LF Energy community including electric utilities, technology vendors, global energy companies, researchers, and other industry stakeholders to learn about LF Energy and its projects, collaborate, and share best practices.
The 2024 event in Brussels sold out two weeks ahead of time, so for 2025, the decision was made to both select a larger space in Europe, as well as to add a North American version.
The European event will take place in Aachen, Germany. In addition to being centrally located to several major airports and cities, Aachen is a hub of innovation centered on RWTH Aachen, which hosts the E.ON Energy Research Center. The city is also home to multiple companies creating innovative solutions for the energy transition.
The all new LF Energy Summit North America will be hosted by LF Energy member Hydro-Quebec, and take advantage of the CIGRE conference which takes place September 29 to October 2, and will bring together thousands of power systems experts in Montreal.
Both events will feature a wide variety of sessions around open source technologies and standards to help accelerate the energy transition. In the coming weeks, we will announce more details about the call for proposals, as well as how to register for the events, but in the meantime we encourage you to save the dates in your calendar and join us in Aachen, Brussels, or both.
