General Members of LF Energy have elected two new governing board members. The LF Energy governing board oversees business decision-making for the foundation, including building alliances, growing membership, and allocating the budget to the highest benefit of LF Energy projects. The board consists of one representative from each Strategic Member of the foundation, as well as one representative per ten General Members, which are elected annually by the General Members.

The entire LF Energy community thanks all the candidates who ran for election this term, and extends our congratulations to our two new board members.

The two new General Member representatives on the governing board are:

Dr. Marco Möller, CEO and Co-Founder, Pionix

Marco is co-founder and Managing Director of Pionix and has been at the forefront of open source software for EV charging and emobility. He also chairs the LF Energy EVerest TSC and represents the industry as a board member at the Open Charge Alliance.

With Pionix, he was the initiator of the growing EVerest community of companies, agencies, utilities, universities, and governments worldwide to collectively create and support the digital foundations of EV charging infrastructure of the future, in particular having a common base layer for the firmware of all future EV chargers.

Before he started Pionix, Marco co-founded drone startup MAVinci which was successfully sold to Intel. Since then Marco has also been active as a (founding) angel ínvestor in the startup ecosystem.

Christophe Villemer, Executive Vice President, Savoir-faire Linux

Christophe is an engineering entrepreneur passionate about creating value through collaboration. He has been involved in OSS communities for 20 years also acting as an evangelist for numerous open source projects.

At Savoir-faire Linux, Christophe drives strategic and technological partnerships to develop new markets. He leads the collaboration with the Linux Foundation and LF Energy, of which he became an Ambassador last March.

He is very committed to the development and success of the LF Energy SEAPATH project in which Savoir-faire Linux is very much involved and has developed the first commercial offering.

As a binational Canadian-French citizen, Christophe has developed a business and collaboration network both in North America and in Europe, the two markets where Savoir-faire Linux is established and active.

He has solid experience with professional association boards and their governance. He currently sits on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canada. Christophe was a founding member and former Chairman of the Board of the “French Tech” Association in Montreal (Quebec). He has also served on the Board of Directors of the University of Québec in Montreal.

Thanks to our Outgoing Board Members

The prior General Member representatives to the board, Dr. Marissa Hummon of Utilidata and Dr. McGee Young of WattCarbon, elected not to run for reelection. LF Energy thanks Marissa and McGee for their service, and looks forward to their continued involvement in the community.
