LF Energy’s panel at Enlit Europe, “Open Source in Action – Powering the Energy Transition,” will explore the strategic and practical role of open source in Europe’s electricity system.
The discussion will connect European policy priorities with the operational, security, and collaboration needs of electricity system operators. Project showcases from the LF Energy ecosystem will illustrate how developers and adopters work together to address challenges facing distribution and transmission system operators. The session will close with audience Q&A.
Stephan Gross, Community Director, Europe, LF Energy, will moderate the discussion with LF Energy Governing Board members Jonas van den Bogaard (Alliander) and Lucian Balea (RTE), alongside Stavros Stamatoukos, Policy Officer, Digitalisation and AI in energy, European Commission, DG Energy.
Jonas is Digital Strategy Lead & Open Source Office Lead at Alliander. Lucian is Deputy Director of R&D and Open Source Director at RTE.
