LF Energy OSPOs is a Special Interest Group for organizations building Open Source Program Offices in the energy sector.

Utilities around the world are already running or building Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs) inside their organizations. The LF Energy OSPO SIG gives them, and anyone doing the same work, a shared place to build that practice together.

An OSPO gives an organization a central point of coordination for how it consumes, contributes to, and governs open source. That covers license compliance, security review, community engagement, and the internal case for investment.

The OSPOs SIG is where these practitioners compare notes and build shared resources: frameworks for connecting open source projects to business value, guidance for making the investment case internally, and practical guides for organizations just getting started.

Whether your organization already runs an OSPO, is building the case for one, or wants to learn from peers doing the same work, we encourage you to join our mailing list or Slack (#ospo-sig), attend an upcoming meeting, or view our resources on GitHub.
